Dr. Salzhauer recently wrote the book My Beautiful Mommy which helps children cope with their parent’s sudden transformation by way of a kid-friendly journey through surgery and recovery.Dr. Salzhauer, a father of four who has performed hundreds of “mommy makeovers” over the years, wrote the book after realizing how stressful and scary plastic surgery can be for a patient’s children.
